The 2nd Butterfly Cup held in Taiwan: International, respect, start to be a star
On March 25th, the second Butterfly Cup, "Yun-Ju Future Stars Butterfly Cup Table Tennis Championship", kicked off in Yilan, Taiwan. Spanning six days, the tournament saw the participation of 1,500 junior players. Remarkably, registration slots filled up within an hour of opening, dramatically turning a contest among kids into a contest of speed in securing a spot among parents and coaches.
Lin Yun-Ju, who recently led his team to victory in Japan's T-League and was awarded the Most Outstanding Player Award, attended the opening ceremony, much to the delight of the young enthusiasts. The opportunity to shake hands and get an autograph from "Brother Lin" was met with overwhelming excitement, creating a buzzing, electric atmosphere at the venue.
This year's tournament was marked by three key themes: International, Respect, and Start to be a Star.
International: Aiming for high-standard competition levels, this year's Butterfly Cup successfully attracted participants from Japan, broadening its impact and taking a significant step towards becoming an international event in table tennis.
Respect: Even the youngest players bask in an atmosphere of profound respect. An array of sponsors have united to provide these budding athletes with an unparalleled experience. Butterfly supplied tables, barriers, balls and other equipment for the event. Winners in each category will be awarded a Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC, highlighting Butterfly's respect and encouragement for young players.
Start to be a Star: As the popularity of table tennis escalates, Lin Yun-Ju has become a household name in Taiwan. Recognizing that the path to excellence begins with early exposure to competition, the Butterfly Cup aims to be instrumental in nurturing young talents. Having successfully launched in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Korea Republic, and the United States, we plan to go further to bring the Butterfly Cup all over the world. Accompanied with the wings of Butterfly, our young talents will soar from this unique platform, start to challenge, start to advance, start to be a star.
